Village Vyšné Ružbachy:
The village Vyšné Ružbachy is situated approximately 3km from the main road from Poprad to Stara Ľubovna. Back in the middle ages people already knew healing effects of mineral springs of Vyšné Ružbachy and established the first bath. Spa Vyšné Ružbachy used to be visited by Poland and Hungary Aristocracy.

Ľubovňa castle (15 km)

On the limestone cliff above the town Stara Ľubovňa is a castle Ľubovňa built in early 14th century. The oldest part of the castle is the main tower and a Gothic palace. After 1412 castle became the seat of Polish mayors of Spis towns, which helped its own development. In 1553 the castle burnt down completely. During the reconstruction, the new Renaissance palace was built. In 1642 a Baroque palace was built and a chapel in 1647. From 1655 to 1661 Polish crown jewellery were there hidden from the Swedes . After 1772 the castle started to decay.

Open-air museum (15km)

Below the castle Ľubovňa there is an open-air museum with displays of folk architecture Spiš and Šariš. It is testimony of the past life of Slovaks living in the environs of Stara Ľubovňa. The most valuable exhibit is the church of Michael Archangel made of logs. Most represented in the exposition are wooden houses from the early 20th century. The houses are installed demonstration of folk customs: birth, wedding, Christmas and Easter.
Other objects include the farm buildings (barns, stall, granaries, wells) and technical buildings (smithy, mill and joinery workshop). During the summer tourist season you can see performances of folk groups and ensembles in the natural amphitheater in the open-air museum.
